Bridge to Nowhere
About this tag
The bridge feels like it was built for a neighborhood connection that the city around it later forgot how to support. It carries pedestrians over Crittenden Drive toward a landscape now dominated by airport, highway, and industrial uses, making the far end feel suspiciously close to nowhere. The funny part is that the leftover land nearby may finally get a purpose again: Louisville has since moved forward with plans for a mountain-bike skills park beneath the Watterson. So this little bridge may eventually become less “bridge to nowhere” and more “bridge to somewhere unexpectedly bike-shaped.”
