“Emotional Tyrant” is on a building with a suitably creative recent history. In 2021, 747 S. Preston was being used as a live-work property, with a band occupying the first floor as a music studio and an apartment upstairs. It later became part of a project called 747 Smoketown, run by a graphic artist and used partly for short-term lodging. The mural has since become enough of a landmark to turn up in travel listings under its own name.
