The rainbow-ish structure is part of California Park’s playground, which got a major rebuild in 2015 with accessibility in mind. Nearby Phillis Wheatley Elementary had very little green space of its own and used the park as its play area, so students even helped raise money for the project with a “Change for a Change” campaign. They collected more than $300 in coins toward the renovation.
