About this tag

Amused One is by Louisville artist Casey McKinney and is part of Downtown’s Alley Gallery, a project that started in 2017 by turning ordinary service doors into an outdoor art collection. The pieces aren’t painted directly on the doors. Local artists’ work is reproduced in vinyl, making the installations easier to maintain or replace. Alley Gallery grew to more than 100 pieces in its first year and won an international downtown-design award in 2018. McKinney later designed the Kentucky Derby Festival’s 2020 poster, Pegasus in Bloom.
