Duffys Landing Tandem
About this tag
The blue tandem out front always catches my eye on rides toward Utica, which makes it a fitting landmark for a bicycle game. Duffy’s Landing itself is a 12-acre Ohio River access point named for a river captain who made his living hauling coal on the Ohio. It also sits along Jeffersonville’s planned bike corridor on Utica Pike. I never found an origin story for the tandem, but at a place where boats launch and cyclists pass, it works perfectly well as an unofficial roadside marker.
