Ouerbacker Court
About this tag
Ouerbacker Court is a little architectural change of pace in Old Louisville. Instead of the neighborhood’s big Victorian houses, this short court is lined mostly with red-brick bungalows built around the 1910s. It even got photographed in 1923 while workers were installing underground wiring for its incandescent streetlights, including a great nighttime shot of one lamp glowing in the snow. A surprising amount of history for such a tiny street.
