The Community Table really has moved around. Louisville built it in 2016 as a prototype parklet, first showing it inside the Kentucky Center before sending it to The Table restaurant in Portland. It was designed in modular pieces specifically so it could travel. Years later it ended up outside Clayton & Crume on Shelby Street, still doing the same basic trick: taking up one car-sized patch of street and turning it into a place for people to sit, talk, and park a bike.
