Another proud entry in Bike Tag’s collection of nondescript walls. Someone had to recognize the color and pattern of this masonry as Parrot Cleaners on Ellison Avenue. The business dates back to 1928, and there’s considerably more happening behind the wall than the clue suggested. This is the actual cleaning plant, not just a drop-off counter. In 2018, its owner even described two big cleaning machines named Mary Ruth and Sonny, after his parents.
