Marmaduke Tunnel
About this tag
The “Marmaduke Tunnel” is really a drive-through punched into an old downtown building. The Marmaduke dates to about 1885, but these ground-floor bays weren’t opened for cars until around 1980. That makes the little passage easy to overlook, especially compared with the building’s much fancier 1916 Fourth Street facade. Inside are a few unexpected bits of artwork, including this doorway figure lost in headphones with hearts and music notes floating around them.
