Louisville has plenty of painted horses, but this one is covered in flags from around the world. That gets a little stranger when you notice where it lives. Nearby BAE Systems builds and repairs major weapons systems for the U.S. Navy, on and around the former Naval Surface Warfare Center complex. I couldn’t find a reliable artist credit or title for this particular horse, so whether that contrast was intentional is anybody’s guess.
