Smoke Break
About this tag
The woman taking a smoke break in this skinny gap has a name after all. Louisville Downtown Partnership catalogs the piece as White Castle Girl by Robert Leo Jones, installed between the Bisig Building and the 5th Street Garage. It’s part of Alley Gallery, the project that started in 2017 by turning forgotten service doors and back-of-building spaces into little public art stops. The works are actually reproduced in vinyl rather than painted directly on the wall, which makes this less a hidden mural than a deliberately hidden gallery piece.
