This is the Castlewood Dragon Tree, a neighborhood-commissioned carving by Louisville sculptor Joe Autry. LEO Weekly wrote about it in 2013 while Autry was more than 70 hours into carving a dragon climbing around a castle. The piece was memorable enough that LEO gave it the extremely specific honor of “Best Reason to Walk Your Dog.”
