Mellwood Art Center began life as a meatpacking plant and was later reinvented as a maze of artist studios, galleries, shops, and event rooms. Somewhere inside that converted industrial complex sits an oversized skeleton, because apparently 170-plus artists and businesses were not enough personality for one building.
