This one stretched the permanence rule pretty hard. The sign was advertising Spring Wing Fest on May 18, only eight days after it was tagged. The main attraction was an eight-wing heat contest involving millions of Scoville units. Louisville writer Kevin Gibson entered and made it through five before his stomach forced a surrender. A temporary clue, sure, but it’s hard to say no to a hot-wing eating contest.
