Many Louisvillians will happily argue that the city’s best burger comes out of this tiny trolley, and the argument has had plenty of time to develop. Ollie’s opened here in 1973 as part of a once much larger fast-food chain, then somehow outlived nearly all of it. More than fifty years later, the little Third Street stand is still serving burgers and seasoned fries with very little interest in modernizing the ritual. One important piece of local knowledge has survived right along with it: bring cash.
