About this tag

The faces on this Simmons College’s Mural House are the four pillars of the school’s history: co-founder Elijah P. Marrs, former president Charles H. Parrish Sr., namesake William J. Simmons, and current president Kevin Cosby. The Healing Walls Project mural was designed to connect Simmons’ past and present with the history of Black residents in Limerick, while a student represents the future. Simmons later bought the building, and it now houses the college bookstore.
