Silver Creek Landing looks like a straightforward kayak access, but it sits in the middle of a much messier paddling story. New Albany built this launch in 2023 while Origin Park was developing other access points upstream and downstream. The problem is that low-head dams still interrupt the creek, including one at Blackiston Mill, while New Albany and Origin Park have spent years fighting over whether another dam near Glenwood Park should come out. So the launches keep multiplying faster than the route between them gets simple.
