About this tag

So begins Bike Tag’s archive of nondescript brick walls. The detail that redeemed this one was the bike pump: it sat outside a Goodwill resource center that actually operated a Bike to Work program for people dealing with transportation barriers. What looked like a very minor piece of street furniture was tied to a much larger effort to help people reach jobs without reliable access to a car. Not every Bike Tag landmark needs architecture, history, or public art. Sometimes it is just a brick wall with one unusually useful thing bolted beside it.
