Floyd Street Garage
About this tag
A parking garage is about as utilitarian as architecture gets, which is probably why these repeating concrete openings caught my attention. Against all that heavy, blunt structure, they read almost like decoration — whether anyone intended them that way or not. I could not find an architectural explanation for the pattern, so there may be no grand design story hiding here. Sometimes Bike Tag was just a good excuse to notice that even a multi-level parking garage can accidentally contain something worth looking at.
