Middle Fork Crossing
About this tag
Cherokee Park has been organized around the Middle Fork of Beargrass Creek since its earliest design, with roads, paths, bridges, and smaller crossings repeatedly negotiating the water. This particular set of stone steps is one of the less formal solutions: perfectly reasonable on foot, much less convincing with a bicycle in your hands. Its exact age and origin are hard to pin down, but it fits the park’s long habit of making the creek something visitors are meant to encounter rather than simply avoid.
