About this tag

UofL’s Health Sciences Center has a long tradition of honoring the people who donate their bodies for medical education. The university calls them its “silent teachers,” and each spring students hold a Convocation of Thanks for the donors and their families. This bench has a nearby memorial to Martin Nicholas Ghassomians, who died in 1993 at age 23 and is identified on the plaque as a member of the Class of 1996.
