About this tag

Second visit to Memorial Park, so here’s another piece of the story. The artwork shown, "Strata", was only one part of the 1990s Spalding-led redesign. The first project was actually a bus-stop bench shaped like a fallen classical column, meant to echo Memorial Auditorium across Fourth Street. More than 300 local residents eventually helped with the park, and the north mosaic wall alone stretched 189 feet. Bike Tag would apparently decide that one visit wasn’t enough either.
