OG Parlour
About this tag
This is the O.G. Parlour, opened in 2017 inside the restored Duffy-Hancock House, an 1836 mansion at the foot of the Big Four Bridge. The Old Forester sign’s endless “GREAT YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR…” plays right into the bourbon’s original pitch: consistency. George Garvin Brown started bottling and signing Old Forester in 1870 to guarantee what customers were getting. Fun spelling footnote: it was originally named for Dr. William Forrester and actually started life with that second “r.”
