About this tag

This tag caught the old police building at the Urban Government Center before it disappeared. Long before LMPD used it, the building was constructed in 1940 as housing for nursing students at Kentucky Baptist Hospital next door. There was even an underground tunnel connecting the two buildings for students and hospital staff. The complex sat vacant for years after Metro left in 2016, then demolition finally began in 2025. Most of what stood here when the tag was made is now gone.
