Floral Terrace Fountain
About this tag
Floral Terrace is one of Old Louisville’s surviving pedestrian courts: houses facing a walkway and lawns instead of a normal street. That simple arrangement changes the whole feeling of the block. The court was largely built out before 1910, and its central walk, mature trees, and tucked-away position still make it feel oddly insulated from the city around it. The fountain is what gave this tag its name, but the real attraction is the court itself — one of those little Louisville spaces where removing cars from the front door seems to lower the volume of everything else.
