This old L&N caboose sits in an unusually appropriate place. Across from the football stadium once stood the Louisville & Nashville’s enormous South Louisville Shops, a sprawling railroad complex where thousands of workers built and repaired locomotives and cars—including hundreds of cabooses. Most of that industrial landscape disappeared when the area was redeveloped in the 1990s.
