BsideU for Life, again
About this tag
The entrance was apparently interesting enough to get tagged twice, and the address has earned a second look too. In 1960, 701 W. Walnut was Jane’s Pawn Shop, on the stretch of Walnut that was a major Black business and social district. The Kentucky Commission on Human Rights later worked from the address. In 1991 it was an IBM parts distribution center. BsideU moved here and adopted its current name in 2017. The elaborate gateway is still the odd part. Its designer and intended meaning remain elusive.
