Instead, one player quickly discovered that “there are a lot of pillars in Downtown.” These turned out to be outside Vincenzo’s, the longtime Italian restaurant at Fifth and Market. There’s a nice coincidence hiding in the location too. When Vincenzo Gabriele opened here in 1986, he was taking over the space from a restaurant literally called Columns.
