About this tag

The Shelby Park Community Garden turned a vacant lot into raised beds and free-to-harvest produce for the neighborhood. It is still there, but the massive I-65 project has made this corner feel much less reachable than it used to: nearby streets have been closed or disrupted for long stretches, with heavy construction traffic all around. I have not checked in closely enough to know how much that has hampered the garden itself.
