Barbarella
About this tag
The Barbarella mural is a leftover from the dance club that opened here in 2017 and disappeared with the pandemic. The place called itself a “video dance dive,” with themed dance nights, karaoke, drag shows, DJs, and plenty of nostalgia baked in. It only lasted a few years, but apparently that was enough. In 2024, another Louisville venue even threw a “Beerbarella” silent disco as a tribute to the old club. The club took its name from the 1968 sci-fi film Barbarella, starring Jane Fonda, and the mural carried that reference right onto the side of the building.
