About this tag

A LOCAL LANGUAGE FACILITY for SHOPPING WORDS & OTHER COMMERCE PROBLEMS. These strange pseudo-advertisements have appeared around Louisville for years, borrowing the confidence of old storefront signs and then quietly refusing to make normal sense. The artist behind them has since carried that same approach into gallery shows, but the street versions are better at catching you off guard. They look like they ought to be selling something. Instead they mostly sell the feeling that language has slipped half an inch sideways.
